It’s been three long years since Ontario noise-rock duo Indian Handcrafts dropped their Civil Disobedience for Losers, but it looks like the pair are thankfully about to get into more trouble. A new record called Creeps comes our way October 2 via Sargent House.

A press release notes that the act’s latest set came together quickly after wrapping up the tour cycle behind Civil Disobedience for Losers. Apparently, it was inspired by the tunes the outfit’s Brandyn James Aikins and Daniel Brandon Allen were cranking in the band van while they were on the road. Creeps is also described as their “‘80s album.”

“On tour you’re listening to everything all the time, going from Celtic Frost to Faster Pussycat,” guitarist/vocalist Allen said in a statement. “It tends to work its way into the writing.”

As with their debut LP, Creeps was cut with engineer Toshi Kasai (Melvins, Tool), with these sessions having taken place over a 10-day period at Sun Valley, CA’s Sound of Sirens studio.

The group are now streaming Creeps’ first single, a drop-tuned, Melvins-style crusher called “It’s Late Queeny.” You’ll find it, as well as the record’s tracklisting and a handful of North American tour dates, down below.
