NINE

"Powerful instru-metallists Russian Circles are back to hypnotize headbangers with a ninth full-length, appropriately dubbed Nine." – Revolver

"Vast, searching post-metal.” – Stereogum

“Absolutely crushing.” – The Needle Drop

"The songs on Nine are carefully crafted pieces of aural architecture."
– Everything is Noise

Today, Russian Circles release their new album, Nine. This is a monumental piece of music and we cannot express how proud we are to usher it into the world.

Whereas earlier albums were almost playful in their traversing of territories, Nine is a document of a band that knows the lay of the land and is fortifying their dominion over the varied terrain.

Check out the videos below and order your copy of the album above.

New Russian Circles Track "Seventh Seal" Available Now

WATCH “SEVENTH SEAL”

PRE-ORDER NINE

Russian Circles “are back to hypnotize headbangers” (Revolver). This Friday, they will release their new album, Nine, via Sargent House, and today they present, “Seventh Seal.”

Following the hypnotic “Eluvial” and “Empath,” “Seventh Seal" is the album’s dark closer. Taking inspiration from Cliff Burton-era Metallica’s penchant for pairing melancholic classical guitar passages with the blunt force trauma of their heaviest tracks, on “Seventh Seal,” the stark beauty of guitarist Mike Sullivan’s nylon string solo composition ushers in the band’s most unapologetically straightforward metallic assault.

Russian Circles’ North American Headline tour is also now on sale. Check out the full list of dates below.

REZN Review Recap: 'Cycles in the Infinite Dream'

"If 2024’s breakout album Burden sounded like an ominous transmission from the cosmic depths, then Cycles in the Infinite Dream trades outer space for inner space, recalibrating those hostile frequencies in favor of a heaviness that registers as more organic, more human.” - Bandcamp

"Shape-shifting psychedelic-doom that touches on everything they’ve done before – whilst delivering fresh riffs and stunning new vocal hooks, REZN keep innovating and colliding genres with Cycles in the Infinite Dream.”

EVERYTHING IS NOISE REVIEW

"an immersive listen that takes the band’s core sound and effortlessly weaves in (amongst others) Psychedelic Doom, Post-Rock, Ambient textures and cosmic Jazz, inviting patience rather than demanding attention.”

"[Hammok] thrives amidst raw, furious uncertainty.” - SPIN

SPIN REVIEW

"aside from simply being an explosive and dynamic set of post-hardcore with infectious choruses, abrasive riffs and energy to spare, When Does This Place Become Our Scene frequently concerns matters of community and connection—essential ideals for both the survival of punk and hardcore scenes and society alike. - Treble

"This is the soundtrack to the apocalypse.” - Vice

VICE TRACKS OF THE WEEK

"Powerful instru-metallists Russian Circles are back to hypnotize headbangers with a ninth full-length, appropriately dubbed Nine. To celebrate the announcement, the trio have delivered a damned heavy taste of things to come via first single 'Empath.’” - Revolver

REVOLVER NEWS

"a song that takes all the tunneling ferocity of extreme metal and drives it into your chest without the easy reprieve of a chorus. This doesn’t feel like tension that goes nowhere but a concentrated freak out, replete with a breakdown riff that would make hardcore kids knock each other out in the pit with glee. It’s brilliant.”
- Consequence

CONSEQUENCE TRACKS OF THE WEEK

"the track, and video, are undeniably Russian Circles, packing atmosphere and heaviness together with equal skill.” - Metal Injection

Today, REZN release their new album Cycles in the Infinite Dream.

With Cycles in the Infinite Dream, REZN masterfully harness the oppressive weight of their full sonic armory to celestial melodies and sublime synesthesia-inducing atmospherics in a manner so seamless it feels otherworldly, as if occupying a liminal space between two realities.

We’re so excited to see the reaction from fans. It’s an honor to work with such an incredible group of musicians. Check out the videos below and order your copy of the album above.

Later this year, REZN will bring their “progressive psych-doom metal” (Treble) across the United States. Tickets are on sale below.

New REZN Single "Aerial Birth" Available Now

LISTEN TO “AERIAL BIRTH”

PRE-ORDER CYCLES IN THE INFINITE DREAM

REZN have released “Aerial Birth,” the third single from their forthcoming record Cycles in the Infinite Dream available everywhere July 24, 2026.

This record introduces a new tool in REZN’s trade: Spencer Ouellette’s lap steel guitar. The instrument conjures the extraterrestrial weightlessness of the pedal steel guitar featured on Brian Eno’s Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks album, providing a similar bridge between cosmic ambience and the wide-open terrains of Western music. This is showcased on “Aerial Birth,” where Phil Cangelosi’s roiling basslines provide the counterweight to Ouellette’s helium-grade lap steel before thick slabs of distortion and Patrick Dunn’s rhythmic battery pull everything back to a gravitational center. Throughout, Rob McWilliams’ voice is as beguiling as ever.

In August, they return to the states for another headlining US tour. All tickets are on-sale at the link below. Don’t miss the chance to hear Cycles in the Infinite Dream live.

Rock Sound Track By Track: Hammok ‘When Does This Place Become Our Scene’

“Hammok vocalist/guitarist Tobias Osland guides us through the references and the sentiments of their intense, intricate and intoxicating new album.”

The Scene

“I never really doubted the initial spark of that first verse, which then became the title of the entire album. That was such a beam from the sky moment, and you don’t really get too many of those. We had a lot of the instrumental for the song leftover from the first album, like the main guitar riff and the first verse. I just started recording vocals in a hotel room, touring the first album, and it just became this fully fledged picture.”

"Those moments are so precious, and they felt like they spoke to where we were at that moment, but also to where we are right now, in the middle of releasing this album and everything we’ve done in the past months. What with the singles and the local shows we’ve done, and all the people we met and talked to. It just feels very much like this. One sentence that can mean so much, and it really felt like the North Star for what we would do with the rest of the album."

“Gnarly noise-rock straight outta Norway” - Revolver

Hammok is an Oslo trio of vocalist/guitarist Tobias Osland, drummer Ferdinand Aasheim, and bassist Ole Benjamin Thomassen. Today, their album When Does This Place Become Our Scene is available everywhere.

This is an album that captures polarities of underground intensity and pop sensibility. When Does This Place Become Our Scene is equal parts scream-along cathartic and nod-along infectious.

Available Now - David Eugene Edwards' new album 'Mercurial Silence'

ORDER / STREAM MERCURIAL SILENCE

David Eugene Edwards has released his second full-length solo record, Mercurial Silence. We love it so much.

For more than three decades, David Eugene Edwards has carved out a singular path through American music. First with the gothic folk urgency of 16 Horsepower, then with the devotional intensity of Wovenhand, and more recently through the stripped-down landscape of his solo work. On his sophomore solo album Mercurial Silence, Edwards continues the path established on his 2023 debut Hyacinth, while pushing his sound into new territory through the expanded use of electronic production and layered textures.

Nicole Miglis Releases New Single "Wherever I Go"

Nicole Miglis has released her new single “Wherever I Go,” available on all streaming platforms. She describes the track in her own words:

"Wherever I Go" was born in an Echo Park sublet, in-between a post-pandemic breakup and an upcoming (and unexpected) world tour with Bonobo. I had a few months to put my things in storage, before flying to Nashville for rehearsals. Before Nashville, I would spend some time in Los Angeles, hoping to rekindle a relationship that was ultimately not meant to be. I knew I would leave for a tour that would take me far away from this person, but I knew no matter where I went, I would think of them. It was from these feelings I wrote “Wherever I Go”.
